“Daniela came up with a gentle solution with no controlled crying as I mentioned to her that I don’t like hearing my baby cries too much. She suggested a mixed method which I was far more comfortable to try and also provided me with a personalised sleeping and feeding plan for my baby. She showed me some techniques for how to settle Léon in his cot and, in less than 20 minutes, he was asleep and stayed asleep for his whole lunch nap ¬ I had to wake him up! I never thought I would have to do that! Throughout the week Léon has been getting more and more comfortable with self soothing himself to sleep and he even started to sleep through the night! Daniela kept in touch and was always available for any questions or help we needed throughout that week. To say that this was the best money we have ever spent is an understatement! Before we met Emma we didn't realise that our son was capable of not only sleeping through the night, but sleeping long stretches in the day as well. At 8 months, he was sleeping in our bed and had been since birth and we were at breaking point. I was not finding the evenings restful at all and his daytime naps were only 30 minutes, unless he was sleeping on me, so I was getting nothing achieved in the day and had no down time to myself. I never thought I would book a sleep consultant, but I'm so glad that we did! Emma was so lovely and understanding about our reservations about having our son cry but walked us through the techniques we could use to feel comfortable and understand what his cries meant and how we could respond effectively to them, without impacting his ability to self settle. We're one month into our sleep training and he's sleeping 11 hours straight at night, and 2 hours at lunchtime, and never fights us to go to sleep! Every time we put him down to sleep we marvel at the fact that he does it with no protesting and I don't think we'll ever get tired of seeing him do that! If you are considering booking, my advice to you is just go ahead and do it. She has literally changed our lives for the better I'm a more patient Mum and I'm enjoying parenting a lot more - it's amazing what sleep can do, plus we finally have our bed back! This has been the most wonderful experience and our little boy is far more content and happy today than he was before - and we thought he was a pretty content kid before all of this but he is happier, cuddlier and more content than ever
